Keys dates have just been announced for the upcoming season of the European Poker Tour, with Barcelona being the kickoff location for the tournament series. The European Poker Tour Season 13 will begin in August.

The first stop is scheduled to run from the 16th to the 28th of August in Barcelona will no doubt aim to continue its record-setting trends. Last year, the Barcelona €5,300 Main Event attracted a huge field of 1,694 entries and generated over €8 million in prize pools. Winning the event was none other than the poker legend, John Juanda, who claimed over €1 million for his victory.

Edgar Stuchly, the European Poker Tour President announced that “Season 12 has been yet another record-breaker for the EPT with our biggest schedules ever and a record-breaking number of players. EPT Barcelona is always an astonishing festival and so we’re really looking forward to heading back to Spain in August after our traditional summer break.”

The EPT Barcelona will be joining up with the Spanish Estrellas Poker Tour again, and the Estrellas €1,100 Main Event was won by Mario Lopez for €408,000 last year, an exciting game. Season 12’s PokerStars and Monte-Carlo Casino EPT Grand Final was kicked off by a €10,300 High Roller which was won by Chance Kornuth for €351,108. Season 13’s EPT Barcelona will do the same, with the event running 17 to the 19 of August.

Other big events on the Season 13 EPT Barcelona schedule include the €50,000 Super High Roller taking place 20th to the 22nd of August and the regular €10,300 High Roller on Aug 26th.

On top of announcing the key dates for the Season 13 in Barcelona, the EPT released dates for stops in Malta and Prague. The Malta festival is due to take place from 18th of October  at Portomaso Casino, and the Hilton Hotel Prague will once again open its doors to EPT Prague from December 7th.

Malta and Prague will both kickoff with the €10,300 High Roller. Malta will be joined with the Italian Poker Tour, with the IPT €1,100 Main Event running October 19th to 23rd.

Meanwhile in Prague, the European Poker Tour festival will combine with the Eureka Poker Tour. Key dates for this stop include the Eureka €1,100 Main Event from December 8th to the 12th and the €50,000 Super High Roller running December 10th to the 12th.
